2007  began earlier than usual for us when Coblers Monday performed at the official reception on the Grand Turk in Whitby Harbour for the launch of Whitby’s entry into Britain in Bloom 2007 in February.
August was a busy month what with the release of Coblers Mondays 10th Anniversary Celebratory CD, ‘Swinging the Lead’, Folk Week and ‘blooming performing again’ at Whitby Museum in  Pannett Park, Whitby having reached the finals of Britain in Bloom.
During September Coblers Monday entertained guests and members at the Royal Northumberland Yacht Club at a Memorial Evening to remember the contribution made by
Coblers Monday taking time out from recording
and ‘Swing the Lead’ in the Black Horse
Lew Scaife and other club members who together founded the Ocean Youth Trust.
This lead to the building of the sail training boat James Cook some 21 years ago. Our
support of the Lifeboats and in particular Whitby RNLI, continued in 2007, with two fund raising
evenings, a Folk Week Concert and Coblers Monday member Capt. Ken Stocks  60thBirthday Bash.
For its fund-raising efforts, group members received VIP passes for the official opening
by the Duchess of Kent on September 6th 2007 of Whitby’s New Lifeboat Station.
